Puff Pastry Easter Baskets with Sweet Cream
These Puff Pastry Easter Baskets are a fun, easy way to make an impressive spring dessert without a ton of effort. They’re such a cute Easter dessert that can be personalized with your family’s favorite fruits or Easter candy.
The hack to making these Easter baskets easier is using store-bought puff pastry dough. You shape the dough into baskets that become golden puff pastry cups to be filled with a sweet cream filling. From there, you can get creative with the toppings—fresh berries, pastel sprinkles, even little “Easter eggs” made from grapes like I did.
The cream filling is also easy, simply whipping together cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk. These are perfect as an Easter brunch dessert, a pretty addition to an Easter dessert table, or just a fun Easter treat for kids.
Let’s make some Easter baskets.

Ingredients

Steps to make Easter Basket
1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
2. Roll out the dough, it should be about 1/8-inch thickness. Cut out 12 circles 3 to 4 inches in diameter.
3. Poke fork holes in half of the circles. In the other half, cut out a center circle making a ring. Brush them with beaten egg, and arrange the whole circles as the bases and the ring circle on top of the bases to make the baskets.

4. Make braids from the remaining dough and shape them into basket handles. Brush the handles with egg.
5. Cut out small daisies from the dough.
6. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes for the daisies, 10 minutes for the handles and 12-15 minutes for the baskets (modify bake times depending on your pastry package instructions). Allow to cool.

7. Beat together the cream cheese with the condensed milk and transfer it into a pastry bag fitted with a star nozzle. Pipe the cream into the baskets
8. Attach the basket handles by gently inserting them into the cream

9. Decorate with grapes and sprinkles
10. For added detail, add a sprinkle or drop of icing in the center of the daisies. Place the daisies in the baskets.
