Mixed Berry Buttercream Frosting

This mixed berry frosting is full of real fruit flavor and a pretty pop of pink color, no food dye needed. If you’re looking for a dye-free frosting, this one’s for you.

Cooking the berries down first concentrates the flavor and keeps the frosting thick and smooth. A splash of lime juice brightens everything up and balances the sweetness.

Once the berry mixture is cool, it blends right into a classic buttercream base to make a frosting that’s slightly tart, not too sweet, and super versatile. It’s perfect on vanilla, lemon, or berry cakes, and makes any dessert feel a little more special with its naturally vibrant color.

Let’s whip up some naturally colorful frosting!
