Cute Ghost Chocolate Covered Strawberries
These little strawberry ghosts are one of the cutest Halloween treats you can make with almost zero effort. Fresh strawberries get dipped in white chocolate and suddenly become adorable spooky treats that are almost too cute to eat.
The trick is getting that perfect ghost shape with the dripping tail, which happens naturally when you let the excess chocolate drip off. Kids love them, and adults appreciate that there’s actually some fruit in their Halloween desserts.
Let’s make some Halloween chocolate covered strawberries!

Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
- 1 bag of white candy melts or white chocolate
- 1 bag of black candy melts or black icing
How to make ghost strawberries
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Rinse strawberries and dry them completely. Any moisture will prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.
3. Melt white chocolate or candy melts according to package directions. I do them in microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
4. Melt black chocolate the same way in a separate small bowl. Transfer to piping bag or squeeze bottle.
5. Hold each strawberry by the green leaves and dip into white chocolate, allowing excess to drip off naturally to form a “ghost tail.”
6. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate 5-10 minutes until chocolate sets.
7. Cut small hole in piping bag tip and pipe two dots for eyes and a small oval for the mouth on each ghost.

8. Let strawberries set. You can pop them in the fridge for 10 minutes if you live somewhere warm.
Chocolate covered strawberries are best served within one day of making them
