Crumbl Sugar Cookies Copycat Recipe

Crumbl sugar cookies are big, decadent and pretty with a thick layer of pink frosting.
They’re no more complicated to make at home than a regular sugar cookie recipe. A touch of almond is my favorite part that makes them one of the best sugar cookies you’ll make.

Ingredients
For the cookies:
- 2 ¼ c flour
- ½ c sugar
- ½ c unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- ¼ c oil
- ½ t almond flavoring
- 1 t vanilla
- ¼ t cream of tartar
- ½ t salt
- 1 t baking powder

For the frosting:
- 2 c powdered sugar
- ½ c unsalted butter, softened
- 2 T milk or heavy cream
- 1 t vanilla
- ½ t almond flavoring
- Pink food coloring
Steps to Make Crumbl Sugar Cookies
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prep two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Beat softened butter and sugar in a stand mixer until creamy and smooth.
3. Mix in oil, egg, vanilla, and almond flavoring. Scrape bowl sides and blend well.
4. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, salt, and baking powder, scraping sides frequently until fully combined.

5. Scoop dough into 8 equal portions using a large ice cream scoop. Arrange on prepared sheets and bake 10-12 minutes until centers look set. Cool completely.
6. For frosting: Beat softened butter with powdered sugar on low speed until blended.
7. Add vanilla, almond flavoring, milk, and a small amount of pink coloring (add more gradually if desired).
8. Mix on low, then increase to medium speed. Whip 1-2 minutes until fluffy and smooth.

9. Spread frosting generously over cooled cookies.
Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
