Christmas Oreo Truffles (Easy No-Bake Christmas Cookies)

Looking for an easy holiday treat that everyone will love? These Christmas Oreo Truffles are it. They’re rich, chocolatey, and festive — all without turning on the oven.

If you’ve never had an Oreo truffle, you really have to try them. They elevate Oreos to the next level, somehow they’re so much creamier and decadent than the original cookie. No one would guess they’re as easy as they are, only using three main ingredients.

The first time I tried one off a holiday cookie plate, I truly had no idea they were made with only Oreos & cream cheese. When I found out how simple they are to make, I made about 75 of them in one go.

Just crush Oreos, mix with cream cheese, and dip in melted chocolate or candy coating. This batch I added crushed candy canes to make them fully Christmas-y. They turn out really cute and are perfect for Christmas cookie trays, holiday parties, or as an addition to cookie box gifts.

6. While Oreo balls chill, pour ½ cup of candy melt pieces into a microwave safe cup or small bowl. Add ½ teaspoon of oil to start.

NOTE: Getting the right consistency for the candy melts will depend on your candy melts, microwave and oil. Start slow with oil amount & cook time and check it frequently. Adding too much oil will prevent the candy coating from firming up.

7. Microwave white candy melts for 30 seconds at half power. Stir and microwave again for another 30 seconds. Add a little more oil if needed. The consistency should run off the spoon like paint, not water. My microwave took 1:15 cook time to get a smooth liquid.

8. Place an Oreo ball on a fork and gently spoon the melted candy coating over until it is well coated. Allow excess coating to run off by very gently shaking the fork.

9. Return the ball to parchment and garnish some with crushed candy canes and/or sprinkles while the coating is still wet. Allow the coating to harden. Repeat with the rest of the balls, making more candy coating if needed.

10. Optional: Use additional color candy melts, repeating the same process. Additional color candy melts can also be used as a decorative drizzle on the Oreo balls.

11. Allow balls to set in the fridge for at least an hour. You can also freeze them for 2 months. Thaw them in the freezer so they don’t get condensation while defrosting.
