Ingredients
Other tools used in this recipe: brush and parchment paper

Steps to make Splatter Oreos
1. Follow directions on candy melts to melt the chips. I put melts in a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second increments, stirring thoroughly between. Once they are almost all melted, stir to use the residual heat to finish melting and avoid burning.
TIP: If your candy melt brand results in a thick consistency, you can add neutral oil in 1/4 increments to loosen the candy coating (roughly the consistency of paint running off the spoon, not as thin as water). Add judiciously since too much oil can prevent the coating from setting.

2. Dip 1 double stuffed Oreo at a time into the white melted chocolate. Use a fork to move the oreo around. Place on wax paper.

3. Pour 1 Tablespoon of red food coloring into a glass bowl.

4. Using a pastry brush “flick” the red dye to create “blood splatter.”

5. Allow 10-15 minutes for the chocolate to set completely.
